International Gita Scholarship Test (IGST)

The International Gita Scholarship Test (IGST) is a global spiritual and educational initiative conducted by ISKCON Navi Mumbai (Glory of Maharashtra). The contest is designed to inspire individuals across age groups to study, understand, and practically apply the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, as presented by Śrīla A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda.

IGST aligns with ISKCON's mission of spreading Krishna consciousness worldwide by integrating scriptural knowledge with value-based education and real-life application.

Contest Structure & Paper Pattern

To ensure meaningful participation for all age groups, the examination follows a three-mode paper pattern:

Below 15 Years

Pastimes of Lord Krishna

This section includes story-based questions derived from the divine pastimes of Śrī Krishna, fostering devotion, moral values, and spiritual curiosity among young participants.

15 – 30 Years

Knowledge-Based Questions

Participants will be assessed on their conceptual understanding of the Bhagavad Gita, including philosophical principles, verse-based knowledge, and core teachings.

Above 30 Years

Life Application

This category focuses on the practical application of Bhagavad Gita teachings in daily life, leadership, relationships, ethical decision-making, and personal growth.
